The Cosmetology
Program incorporates formal academic training with hands-on job related
experiences
in a realistic clinical environment. These activities provide
opportunities
to
practice projects required to complete the program.
This Program provides
1,200 hours of theory, practical, and related instruction which will prepare
the learner
with the knowledge and
skills required for entry-level employment in the cosmetology profession.
Successful
completion of the program will prepare the learner for the
Florida Cosmetology License Examination.
The program includes instruction in the
various manipulative skills required to practice cosmetology in a modern
salon. Students
are trained in accordance with industry standards, using state-of-the-art
tools and equipment.
