Southwest Miami Adult Center offers high school classes for students who need credits transferred to their regular school at day time. This classes help them to improve their grades or accelerate their graduation from High School.

This program is designed for those individuals that did not finish their High School or withdrawn from their regular school and decided to further their education at night. Students who finish the program receive a High School Diploma.

Southwest Miami Adult Center offers Pre-GED classes and G.E.D. classes. This program prepares the students for the State of Florida G.E.D. exam. This program allows to obtain a G.E.D. certificate equivalent to High School graduate.

The ESOL program covers all levels of English learning, from Foundations to the highest levels of English, including conversational English. The students take a placement test during the registration process that allows to determine his/her registration in an appropriate level.

Three fields are taught in this rewarding career. The students may take Nail Specialist or Facial Technician or Hair dressing. Every class can be taken independently. The student may opt for a complete professional program covering all three branches.

This course covers the National Code of Electricity in the United States. These classes prepare the students for the test that may turn them into certified electrical technicians.

The students receive theoretical and practice instruction in our full equipped auto-mechanic shop. Auto-mechanic covers all areas to become a A.S.E. certified auto-technician once the appropriate requirements are completed.

This program covers all aspect of the child care career. The class prepares the students for the first steps in a rewarding profession that may lead to establish his/her own child care facilities once the State requirements are met.

Although classes are open based on enrollment, these are classes offered by the community school in Southwest Miami Adult Center. The interested persons may call Southwest for information in schedules and availability of classes.

This program is conducted in two off campus centers in coordination with agencies. It houses individuals older that 21 years old with disabilities.

This program is conducted in satellites centers in coordination with agencies. It target elderly population. The individuals learn or practice English, discuss current events, discuss nutrition, retirement, economy etc. and help our senior citizens maintain their mental and physical skills.
